I am a qualified BACP accredited Integrative Counsellor with a First Class Honours degree and over 15 years experience. I have my own private practice as well as working for City of London Police as an In-house Counsellor. I am a qualified Couples Counsellor and experienced as a Co-facilitator in Group Therapy.
As a counsellor at Roehampton University I gained invaluable insight into working with young adults. I have taught Level 3 counselling to adult students at Kingston College. I am also a trained Counselling Supervisor and I work for various health insurance companies providing CBT/counselling to clients.
My Integrative training means I have the skills to draw upon a range of counselling and psychotherapeutic practices depending on which approach is best. As part of my practice I receive fortnightly supervision to maintain well informed, ethical practice. I am also committed to to my own professional development and regularly attend courses and training forums, alongside keeping up with relevant literature, research and articles.
As a member of BACP I have to fulfil their criteria annually in order to retain my accreditation.
I am also a Registered General Nurse with 35 years experience, currently working in NHS Primary Care.
